It hurt me to see <i>Tartars</i> in ancient <i>Greek dresses</i> with ridiculous modern periwigs, and <i>Greek christians</i> in <i>English habits</i>. $Mrs Dancer= as <i>Arpasia</i>, was as great (particularly in the last scene) as in any character in which I ever saw her and received that distinguished applause she deserved. The Entertainment was <i>Harlequin's Invasion</i> (<i>Neville MS Diary</i>).
